SHIROCCO MARGINAL ARC FAVOURITE ON BETFAIR

SHIROCCO is the marginal Arc favourite on Betfair for Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe - but it is anybody's guess which of the big three will be returned as the market-leader on the industry SPs at the weekend.

Incidentally, how are those returned again?

Shirocco is available at 3.9 on Betfair, with Deep Impact at 3.95 and Hurricane Run a surprising 4.1 chance.

The biggest price discrepancies between the traditional fixed-odds firms and the odds available on Betfair centre around the four outsiders. Sixties Icon is available at 16 (15-1) on Betfair, and the St Leger winner is only a general 12-1 elsewhere.

Current Betfair betting - to win the Arc: 3.9 Shirocco, 3.95 Deep Impact, 4.1 Hurricane Run, 9.6 Rail Link, 12.5 Pride, 16 Sixties Icon, 70 Best Name, 100 Irish Wells

RHT ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT POSITIONS AT LONDON RACECOURSES

Racecourse Holdings Trust (RHT) announces that Jerry Kilby, managing director at Sandown Park, is stepping down from his position to pursue his career elsewhere.

Julian Thick, currently managing director at Kempton Park, is promoted to the corresponding role at Sandown Park. Paul Fisher, who has been finance director for the last five years for RHT's three London courses - Sandown Park, Kempton Park and Epsom Downs - has been promoted to managing director at Kempton Park. The appointments will take effect from 2 October 2006.

Andrew Coppel, chief executive of Racecourse Holdings Trust, said: "I would like to thank Jerry for the energy and dedication he has shown since he took on the role last year. He leaves with our best wishes for the future.

"Where it is considered appropriate, we seek to promote from within the group. Julian's experience, acquired during 14 years with RHT, makes him well suited to his new role at Sandown Park. Paul, in addition to his finance responsibilities, has impressed with his commercial and operational skills, and I am confident that he will make a valuable contribution in his enhanced role.

"I have no doubt that both Julian and Paul will rise to the challenge and take their new responsibilities in their stride."
