MOTIVATOR TO STAND AT ROYAL STUDS

Brilliant Vodafone Derby winner and current highest rated three-year-old Motivator will be syndicated to stand at Her Majesty The Queen's Royal Studs at Sandringham, Norfolk, England.

The Queen's bloodstock advisor John Warren revealed today: "We are delighted that this outstanding son of Montjeu will be standing at stud in England.

"Motivator will retire after running in the Group One Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and the Grade One Breeders' Cup Turf at Belmont. He has an excellent chance of adding to his marvellous record in both races.

"Her Majesty is thrilled to have such a special horse, who was an unbeaten Group One winning two-year-old, coming to Sandringham where the champions Shirley Heights and Bustino have stood before."

NEWMARKET FORGES "WHITE TURF" TWINNING AGREEMENT

Newmarket Racecourses is to twin with St Moritz in Switzerland, with each venue set to sponsor a race at the other´s track to be 'called' by the 'away' commentator. The twinning agreement will be signed on the Rowley Mile before racing on Friday, October 14, when the Grand Prix White Turf St Moritz Claiming Stakes will be run during the afternoon. Newmarket will sponsor a race at St Moritz on their Grand Prix Day on February 19.

Richard Hoiles will commentate on the Newmarket-sponsored race in St Moritz, while Michael Luxemburger will commentate on the Grand Prix White Turf St Moritz Claiming Stakes at Newmarket.

Newmarket´s Annual Members will be able to gain free admission to St Moritz on the day of the Newmarket race with a similar reciprocal arrangement for St Moritz regulars on 14th October.

"This is a really exciting twinning agreement for Newmarket, not least because St Moritz is so unique in the racing world with its races being run on snow," commented Newmarket´s Managing Director, Lisa Hancock.

"As the Home of Racing, we are already twinned with The Curragh and have a special arrangement with the Dubai World Cup. This is a third agreement which I hope will create a lot of interest and will certainly add value for our more adventurous Annual Members who decide to make the trip to Switzerland!"
