AT THE RACES ANNOUNCES LONG TERM CONTRACT FOR MATTHEW IMI AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE
The Board of At The Races announced today that they have agreed a long term contract with Matthew Imi as Chief Executive. He takes up the permanent post with immediate effect having undertaken this role on a temporary basis since April 2004.
Mr Imi, aged 37, had been the Head of Sky Ventures at BSkyB for 7 years where he oversaw Sky's shareholding in its portfolio of numerous joint venture businesses. Previously, he was Director of Co-Productions at BBC Worldwide Americas in New York.
Martin Goswami, BSkyB's Commercial Director, said "The restructured At The Races has got off to an excellent start under Matthew's leadership and we are delighted that he will be taking the business forward during the next three years. While we are sad to lose Matthew from Sky, his passion for racing and many years of wide experience in broadcasting make him the ideal choice for this role."
Ian Penrose, Chief Executive of Arena Leisure, said "Matthew has brought his passion for business, broadcasting and racing into the new At The Races and I am delighted that he has taken the position of CEO on a permanent basis."
Matthew Imi, CEO of At The Races, said "You don't leave a great job with a company like Sky for any old business but running At The Races is a real opportunity and offers me exactly what I am looking for - the opportunity to employ very relevant experience to grow a business in an industry of real interest to me with shareholders and racecourse partners who are hugely supportive, very commercial in their thinking and united in their determination for At The Races to become the international benchmark for racing and betting based channels."
ONE TICKET PLAYING FOR £269,028 BONUS FUND IN SCOOP6
One winning ticket will be looking to add another £269,028 to their kitty if the winner of the totesport Ayr Gold Cup is successfully picked this weekend. Last week the only winning ticket scooped £419,192 when Chateau Istana won the final leg. With only one pick out of a competitive 28 horse handicap race there is a good chance that the bonus fund could elude the winner and will be carried over to next week. That possibility should provide punters with a great incentive to play the totescoop6 this weekend.
Races this week are divided between Newbury and Ayr and will all be shown live on Channel 4. The selected races, three of which are sponsored by totesport and totepool, are of extremely high quality and will test players to their full limit.

POLYTRACK ON TRACK FOR OCTOBER 2 MEETING AT WOLVERHAMPTON
Wolverhampton Racecourse's £3m investment in the new Polytrack race surface will be ready for re-opening as scheduled for the evening race meeting on Saturday, October 2, 2004.
It promises to be a superb night of entertainment, with racing under floodlights, juggler and fire eater and (weather permitting) a dazzling night display by the Red Devil Freefall Parachute Team between races.
Restaurant diners and those purchasing day Members badges will also be entitled to attend a complimentary disco following racing until midnight.
There has been a great deal of internal refurbishment at Britain's only floodlit racecourse in the last three months including new carpeting and decoration on the Members floor and in the corporate boxes, a new floor in the betting hall concourse and a totally re-vamped Weigh Inn Bar.
General Manager David Roberts said: "It's with great delight that all the works taking place at Dunstall Park this summer are on schedule and we are truly excited at re-opening on Oct. 2 with racing on what is widely regarded as the best surface of its kind in the world. At the same time we have taken the opportunity to further up-grade our facilities for both general public and Members."
There are still a few tables available in the Zongalero and Ringside Restaurants for the night, but book early to avoid disappointment. Tattersalls Value Packages consisting of entrance, racecard, fast food snack, drink and £2.00 Tote voucher are available if booked in advance for just £12.00 each.
