ASIAN HEIGHTS WELL SUPPORTED FOR ARC

"The best backed horse of the day was undoubtedly Asian Heights who has been backed in to 16/1 from an initial early morning 25/1. The son of Hernando was subject to favourable gallop reports from Tony Elves in the Racing Post and we were a stand out 25/1 so it was only natural on reflection that the value price would be taken. We saw respected trade money at 25/1 and one bet of £1000 at 20/1" commented Balthazar Fabricius of Ladbrokes.

THE LADBROKES MASCOT GRAND NATIONAL AT HUNTINGDON

A different Mascot Grand National returns to Huntingdon on Sunday 29th September, and the Racecourse is delighted to welcome its new sponsor Ladbrokes. For the first time the race has a charity theme, with all participants being asked to raise money for the NSPCC, Noah's Arc and the Association of Children's Hospice's, or if they prefer, they can run for their own chosen charity. To boost funds all racegoers will be given the opportunity to bid for the signed Manchester United football shirt of striker Diego Forlan.

The day has been given a further attraction by the news that model and ex TFI Friday star Catalina Guiradoa will be starting the race on the day.

The fully sponsored six race card should provide some competitive contests and Racecourse Manager Tina Dawson says she is thrilled to be welcoming; May Gurney, pioneers within the construction industry; Fox Electronic Surveillance Systems who have 40 years experience in the security industry; Cambridgeshire County Council's Fostering and Adoption Team and, of course, Ladbrokes as sponsors. "We hope the day will be an exciting Sunday's entertainment for all the family" said Tina. "There's something for everyone".

Once again the day will be a "Family Fun Day", with various entertainment FREE for all children. Gates open at 11am with the Ladbrokes Mascot Grand National at 12.30pm and the first horse race commencing at 1.50pm.

The gates will open at 11.00am with the first race at 1.50pm. Prices start at 6 for the Picnic Car Park, 11 for the Paddock Enclosure and 16 for Day Members, CHILDREN UNDER 16 ARE FREE OF CHARGE.
