LOOK OUT FOR SULK NEXT YEAR
The John Gosden-trained Sulk yesterday got off the mark at the third time of asking when winning the European Breeders Fund Quidhampton Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Salisbury.
The two-year-old filly, who is by Selkirk out of Masskana, required all of the seven-furlong trip to get on top and led in the final 50 yards to beat Proserpine, trained by Marcus Tregoning, a short-head.
Afterwards Gosden indicated that she might be worth waiting for next season. He said: "She'll get a mile and a half, no problem, next year, and is a nice staying type.
We might just put her away now."
