Dylan Thomas Heads Juddmonte Betting With William Hill
Dylan Thomas is William Hill's 11-10 favourite for Tuesday's Juddmonte International Stakes at York. The ultra impressive Budweiser Irish Derby winner heads a field of just eight for the 1m 2f Group One contest with Sir Michael Stoute's consistent Notnowcato rated the 11-2 second favourite.
Ben Clarke of Hills commented: "It looks a cracking race but I think the favourite is a class act and will prove very hard to beat. He is taking on older horses for the first time and dropping back to a mile and a quarter but his performance in the Irish Derby, against a high class field, was for me the best by a three year old for quite some time."
William Hill have priced up Tuesday's other big race, the Ladbrokes Great Voltigeur, and make Sir Michael Stoute's Papal Bull their 2-1 market leader ahead of Ladbrokes St Leger second favourite Soapy Danger.
Ben Clarke of Hills added: "Although Soapy Danger is more prominent in our St Leger betting we've made Papal Bull our favourite for Tuesday's race as he should hold the edge over 12 furlongs."
Ladbrokes Great Voltigeur: 2-1 Papal Bull, 5-2 Soapy Danger, 11-2 Stage Gift, 6-1 Red Rock, 10-1 Fire And Rain, 12-1 Championship Point, Youmzain, 33-1 Puerto Rico, 100-1 Sienna Storm, The Last Drop
Winning An Art For Dutch
Dutch Art made it three out of three with and impressive victory at Deauville. The Peter Chapple-Hyam trained youngster landed the Group One Darley Prix Morny, with the help of Christophe Soumillon, after taking it up two furlongs out and holding off the challenge of Excellent Art and Magic America. William Hill reacted by cutting the two year old to 16-1 (from 25) for next years Stan James 2000 Guineas.
Ben Clarke of William Hill commented: "It was a shame Holy Roman Emperor didn't take his place but that was still one of the more impressive two year old performances we've seen this year on far from ideal ground. We've cut him to 16-1 from 25 for the 2000 Guineas but we'll be keeping a close eye on the liabilities as he definitely a horse we want to keep the right side of."
