GEORGE WASHINGTON IN CLASSIC DEMAND

George Washington is just 9-2 for the 2,000 Guineas with totesport following significant ante-post support after his win in today’s Phoenix Stakes. Totesport initially went 6-1 from 12s after the race.

Spokesman Damian Walker said: “We held the 6-1 about George Washington for as long as we could, but punters have piled into the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt and he is now a serious ante-post loser.”

WINSTON OUT

Jamie Spencer is odds on with totesport to win the 2005 Flat Jockeys’ title after Robert Winston broke his jaw in a fall at Ayr last night.

Winston was the clear 10-11 favourite prior to his fall while Spencer was a 7-4 shot. Seb Sanders is 11-10 from 9-4.

Spokesman Damian Walker said: “Spencer now looks a strong favourite to win his first jockeys’ title as Seb Sanders hasn’t really had the ammunition recently from the Sir Mark Prescott stable.”

2005 Flat Jockeys’ title
Spencer 4-6 (from 7-4), 11-10 (from 9-4) Sanders, 25 (from 40) Hughes
