BP= the best price at the time of writing

1) (3) 2319 Gamut Sir Michael Stoute 6-9-06t Johnny Murtagh
Very useful performer in this grade on his day, as when winning the shorter Group Two Princess of Wales's Stakes on his penultimate appearance. Disappointing in King George three weeks ago but should be better back in this grade where he can get more of his own way. Likely to make the running. BP= 2/1

2) (5) 4-30 Mubtaker Marcus Tregoning 8-9-06 Richard Hills
Winner of this race three times in the past and has won five times in total at the course. Though down the field at the end of the King George, this distance and race are much more his cup of tea. He holds Mamool on form two years ago and on a line through last year’s second Dubai Success. He has to be the value. BP= 9/2.

3) (1) 4204 Lochbuie Geoff Wragg 4-9-03 John Egan
Has been running with credit over further this season, with best effort coming when second in the Henry II Stakes at Sandown. Needs to step up on what he is achieved to figure here. BP= 14/1

4) (4) 07-1 Mamool Saeed Bin Suroor 6-9-03t Kerrin McEvoy
Grand servant for connections over the years and looked in good heart when winning on his seasonal reappearance at Goodwood. Stays this trip well and on his best form should bang there but he is a short price to do so. BP= 11/10

5) (2) 234- Self Defense Emma Lavelle 8-9-03 Ryan Moore
Useful both on the Flat and over hurdles and stays well. However, comes here after a lay-off and something to find with these in any case. BP= 20/1

SUMMARY
MUBTAKER is the value to win this fourth Geoffrey Freer in a row.
