MONEY SUGGESTS MURTAGH RIDES ADORED / NEW APPROACH BACKED
Aidan O'Brien's Adored has been the best backed horse in the Juddmonte Oaks fuelling speculation that Johnny Murtagh will take the ride in favour of stablemate Sail.
Spokesman Damian Walker said: "Our Oaks betting last Friday had Adored at 20-1 with stablemate Sail at 13-2 and it seemed Johnny Murtagh would get the leg up on the more fancied O'Brien runner.
"But since then Sail has been friendless, while Adored has been all the rage. We cut Adored to 12-1 from 14-1 this morning and again to 9-1. Sail is out to 10-1 and, if money talks, then Murtagh will take the mount on Adored.
"Stamina certainly shouldn't be a problem for Adored as she is by Derby winner Galileo and out of a Darshaan mare."
In the Vodafone Derby betting, surprise entry New Approach has been well backed and is 5-1 from 6-1.
Spokesman Damian Walker said: "We're going non-runner no bet on the Derby so at least those punters who have backed New Approach today don't have to worry about any more Jim Bolger U-turns!"
