LIVE COVERAGE OF EVERY RACE FROM ROYAL ASCOT AND DAILY HIGHLIGHTS SHOW

MEETING TO BE BROADCAST TO WORLDWIDE AUDIENCE

At The Races, the UK and Ireland’s most watched dedicated racing channel, is offering viewers all-day coverage of the Royal Ascot meeting with live, on-course programming beginning at 9am daily and the most in-depth coverage to be found anywhere online at attheraces.com.

All Royal Ascot races will be broadcast live online, with a highlights show on the At The Races channel at 9:30pm for those that missed the day’s action.

ATR’s presentation team will feature HWPA Broadcaster of the Year, Mike Cattermole, last year’s winner, Robert Cooper, John McCririck, Derek Thompson, Jason Weaver, Zoey Bird and Alex Hammond.

ATR presenters have selected their ‘bankers of the meeting’, which can be viewed on the special Royal Ascot microsite on attheraces.com. The Royal Ascot microsite also offers comprehensive racecards, stable tours with top trainers, and exclusive interviews with Mark Johnston (who can boast of 26 Ascot winners in recent years), Derby winning trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam, Ed Dunlop and James Fanshawe.

A 60-minute Royal Ascot preview programme can also be found at ATR.com featuring Mike Cattermole and Jason Weaver. Additionally, Neil Callan, the top flat jockey, has a blog each day talking about his rides. Coupled with the Fast Archive service, which has an on-demand database of over 18,000 races, users will have all of the information they could require about the meeting at their fingertips.

Throughout the meeting online users have the chance to use their tipping expertise to win £1,000, and innovative pace charts and FormScan data provide in-depth post-race analysis for every race.

Royal Ascot will be broadcast live to a large worldwide audience. For the first time it is available in 28 million US homes via ATR’s agreement with US horseracing broadcaster, TVG. The French operator, PMU, is taking a minimum of 15 Royal Ascot races for broadcast and Australia’s Sky Channel will feature the meeting live and exclusively in its domestic market.

Matthew Imi, Chief Executive of ATR, said:

“Royal Ascot is one of the highlights of the worldwide racing calendar. Again this year we will witness five days of the highest quality racing from the country’s number one racecourse, and we are delighted to broadcast every race, not just to viewers and online user in the UK and Ireland, but also around the world. With excellent initiatives such as the Global Sprint Challenge, Ascot has been at the forefront of creating a global racing product and should be congratulated for attracting such high profile international runners. At The Races continues to strive to give racing enthusiasts the finest coverage available both on television and online, and we believe the strength and breadth of our offering does justice to this wonderful event.”
