5.15pm £8,000 JOHN WILLIES HANDICAP 1m 6f

GOING: GOOD (GOOD TO SOFT IN PLACES)

for the best odds go to www.BritOdds.com
BP= the best price at the time of writing

1)(8) (2)(1)(1)(3)-0 VELVET HEIGHTS John Dunlop 5-9-07 Ian Mongan
Boasts an excellent strike-rate on the all-weather and won over the distance at Southwell in November though his turf receord is not so good at one in 17. Possibly needed the run on reappearance at Newmarket last month and cannot be dismissed.. BP= 11/2

2)(6) 11(0)-23 SWAN QUEEN John Dunlop 4-9-06 Kerrin McEvoy
Lightly-raced filly who was successful on soft and good to firm going in a pair of mile and a half handicaps last term. Posted two respectable efforts over that shorter trip this season and could improve for the step-up in distance here. However, she is no value. BP= 2/1

3)(7) 2(5)513- GABIER Gary Moore 4-9-03 Ryan Moore
Won once on the Flat in France and was very consistent there before being going hurdling here. He has scored three times over hurdles this year for present yard and progressed. Handles any going and should relish the distance. Had a very tough task last time. Good value. BP= 5/1

4)(3) 3(0)-516 TAKAFU Stuart Kittow 5-9-00 Jim Crowley
Won over a furlong further at Warwick last month so stamina is not an issue but he appears handicapped to the hilt now and others are preferred. BP= 9/2

5)(9) 03-441 ANNAMBO Dave Morris 7-9-00 NON-RUNNER

6)(5) FLAME CREEK Eddie Creighton 11-8-12 A Creighton (3)
Former high-class hurdler who enjoyed something of a renaissance when winning twice over a mile and a half on the Fibresand at Southwell in December. Form tailed off thereafter but he has dropped accordingly in the weights and could have a chance. BP= 16/1

7)(4) 2150-5 MABEL Stuart Williams 4-8-04 Martin Dwyer
Well held by Annambo on Newmarket running over this trip in May on first start for new yard. Won mile and a half maiden at Limerick 12 months ago but has failed to reproduce anything like that form since. BP= 14/1

8)(2) /(0)(0)(6)-(0) DANCE WORLD Julia Feilden 7-8-03 Simon Whitworth
Exposed handicapper at up to two miles on the Flat. Has shown very little in seven latest starts. BP= 33/1

9)(1) 0(0)0-02 DEBORD Jamie Poulton 4-8-02 Francis Norton.
Won over a mile at Sandown last season but failed to go on in handicaps at up to 10 furlongs. Caught the eye with a staying-on second over a mile and a half at Nottingham 10 days ago. The extra two furlongs here could be right up his street but he is six pounds wrong at the weights. Fair chance. BP= 12/1

SUMMARY

This is an interesting handicap with only a few with a real chance. The value is with Gabier each way.

Good Luck
