BP= the best price available at the time of writing

1) (3) 1-00 European Ralph Beckett 5-9-13 Ted Durcan
Former Argentinian performer who has run twice in Britain but probably needs to come down the handicap at bit more. BP= 66/1

2) (9) 0632 Appalachian Trail Ian Semple 4-9-10b Jamie Spencer
Ran good race when beaten a short-head last time but has gone up 2lb for that effort which was better than his earlier efforts this year. BP= 8/1

3) (10) 1754 Uhoomagoo Kevin Ryan 7-9-08b Neil Callan
Likes to come from behind but his overall form does not appear good enough off this mark of 90. BP= 9/1

4) (4) 1-12 Polar Magic James Fanshawe 4-9-07 Johnny Murtagh
Favourite when geaten at Newmarket last time out and races off a 6lb higher mark. Worth opposing. BP= 11/4

5) (6) 0371 Red Spell Richard Hannon 4-9-07 Richard Hughes
Won at Goodwood recently but goes up 3lb and has to race off highest ever mark. BP= 8/1

6) (1) 4329 Chateau Nicol Brendan Powell 6-9-06b Richard Quinn
Useful sort who finishes well and his last run over six furlongs can be forgotten - this trip and track will suit him much better. Down a pound in the handicap too. Has a good chance. BP= 20/1

7) (8) -304 Binanti Pat Chamings 5-9-06v Jimmy Quinn
Course and distance winner last year and races off a similar mark. Ran best race for a time here over a mile last time out. One for the shortlist. BP= 7/1

8) (12) 4-07 Silk Fan Walter Swinburn 4-9-06 Adam Kirby (5)
He is dropping down the handicap but probably needs his rating to fall a bit more. BP=14/1

9) (15) 28-8 Black Velvet Marcus Tregoning 3-9-06v1 Martin Dwyer
Needs to come down more in the ratings. BP= 25/1

10) (13) 1114 San Antonio Pam Sly 5-9-04b Jimmy Fortune
Won three on the trot before defeat at Ripon on unsuitable soft ground but races of highest mark today. BP= 14/1

11) (2) 3713 Stage Secret Emma Lavelle 4-9-04 Frankie Dettori
Has improved but races off highest ever mark. BP= 9/1

12) (14) 8100 Idle Power Jim Boyle 7-9-03p Amir Quinn (3)
Best st six furlongs but has won over seven furlongs - this stiff track may be against him. BP= 25/1

13) (7) 68-0 Mustajed Rod Millman 4-9-01 Alan Munro
Needs to come down the handicap. BP= 80/1

14) (16) 0-27 Presumptive Roger Charlton 5-8-13 Steve Drowne
Fair sort but this is tougher than the company he has been racing in. BP= 14/1

15) (11) 9600 Bo McGinty Richard Fahey 4-8-13 Tony Hamilton (3)
Generally well beaten this year. BP= 25/1

16) (5) 00-0 Irony Andrew Balding 6-8-12p Richard Mullen
Needs to refind form. BP= 33/1

SUMMARY
The best value by far is with CHATEAU NICOL. Have a bit on each-way.
