VODAFONE DERBY MEETING
RACENEWS RACECOURSE SERVICE
EPSOM DOWNS, FRIDAY, JUNE 6, 2003

GROUND REMAINS GOOD

The ground for Vodafone Derby day tomorrow looks set to remain GOOD with only minor rainfall predicted in the next 24 hours.

Andrew Cooper, Clerk of the Course at Epsom Downs, said: “We’ve just had about a millimetre of rain in total this afternoon and there may be some drizzle through the night, but not in any great quantity so I wouldn’t anticipate any major change in the ground.

“It may be overcast with some light drizzle in the morning but there are no great quantities of rain being talked about.”

A fresh strip of ground will be used tomorrow from the six-furlong marker to the winning post, which has been protected by a running rail today.

THE 2003 VODAFONE OAKS WINNER

CASUAL LOOK (USA) FACTFILE

b f Red Ransom (USA) - Style Setter (USA) (Manila (USA))
Form: 34122-61 Owner: William S Farish III
Trainer: Andrew Balding Breeder: William S Farish III Jockey: Martin Dwyer

Casual Look
She comes from a family which has produced winners in the USA and in France, and was in the frame in her first two starts last season before getting off the mark with an eight-length romp at Bath in September. She moved up sharply in grade for her final two appearances last year and acquitted herself very well, beating all but Soviet Song in the Meon Valley Stud Fillies’ Mile at Ascot and then going down to Luvah Girl in the Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket when today’s likely favourite, Yesterday, was behind her. Casual Look has run only once this season, finishing a very creditable sixth in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas for which she started at 50/1. She has just won an exciting Vodafone Oaks.

Race Record: Starts: 7; 1st: 2; 2nd: 2; 3rd:1 Win and place prize money: £308,181

William S Farish III
Farish, who was born on March 17, 1939,is the United States ambassador to Great Britain and a major player in the racing and breeding worlds in the USA, where he owns the 3,000-acre Lane’s End Farm in Kentucky, home of top stallions like A P Indy, Kingmambo, Lemon Drop Kid and Gulch. In partnership with William S. Kilroy, he bred A P Indy and Lemon Drop Kid. He is a steward and vice chairman of the New York Jockey Club, an honorary member of the Jockey Club in Britain, a director of the Keeneland Association, a former director of Breeders’ Cup Ltd and a former chairman of Churchill Downs. His grandfather, also William, was president of Standard Oil of New Jersey and founded the Lazy F Ranch in the USA in the 1930s. Farish’s son, Bill, is running the show at Lane’s End while his father is on ambassadorial duties in Britain. He has other horses with Andrew Balding and has also had horses in this country with John Gosden, while Neil Howard and ‘Paco’ Gonzales train for him in the USA. Gonzales won last year’s Santa Anita Derby for Farish and partners with Came Home. Farish is a close friend of former US president George Bush senior, who was a regular guest at the major American race meetings

Andrew Balding
On January 1, Andrew Balding, took over the licence at the historic Kingsclere yard near Newbury in Berkshire following the retirement of his 65-year-old father Ian who had a training career of almost 40 years that included countless big-race successes including that of Mill Reef in the 1971 Derby. Few trainers can have started off with such a mouth-watering team. Andrew Balding has charge of around 120 predominantly Flat horses with high-profile owners including the Queen, American ambassador Will Farish, George Strawbridge, Jeff Smith, Michael Tabor, Kirsten Rausing and Wafic Said. He has only a handful of jump horses but these include the high-class chasers Moor Lane and Gunner Welburn. Born on December 29, 1972, and educated at Radley, Balding worked for his uncle Toby before spending two years assisting Lynda Ramsden in North Yorkshire. He returned to Kingsclere four years ago, having control of one yard while his father’s name remained on the licence. Among the horses he oversaw in that period were Distant Prospect, winner of the Cesarewitch, and Firebreak, who landed the Group Two Mill Reef Stakes. His second runner in a classic, Casual Look, has won the Vodafone Oaks.

Martin Dwyer
Dwyer, who was born on June 28, 1975, rides regularly for Andrew Balding, to whose father Ian he was apprenticed. He finished third in last season’s Vodafone Oaks on Shadow Dancing, trained by another strong supporter, Marcus Tregoning. His major successes include the 2001Cesarewitch on Distant Prospect for Ian Balding, the Firebreak in the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes in 2001 and last season’s Group 2 King’s Stand Stakes on Dominica. The Vodafone Oaks is his first classic winner.

VODAFONE OAKS
WINNING QUOTES

AMAZING DAY

Martin Dwyer, celebrating a 747/1 treble after Casual Look’s Vodafone Oaks win, said: “It has been an amazing day - I am still pinching myself. She is a big long-striding filly who needs organising.

“I was happy when two or three kicked on and I was able to angle out. Once I got to the outside, I always thought I would get the ones in front of me and in the last half furlong I saw those blue colours coming. She really dug deep when she met the rising ground.

“She travelled so well and is a tremendous filly. The ground is good - the top is a bit loose. I hope she is the first of many classic winners.”

Andrew Balding, the winning trainer, declared: “I cannot quite believe it. Will Farish made the final decision to come here - we were wavering and thinking about going for the French Oaks. He said come on lets go for the Vodafone Oaks and I am so glad he did!

“Dad has been a big help and he did a brilliant job training Casual Look as a two-year-old. I could not have asked to take over a better horse - so well trained - and his advice is invaluable.”

WINNING QUOTES RACE FIVE
VODAFONE OAKS

“THE BEST OF ALL”

“I have been lucky enough to have been involved with some very good horses in my time, but this is the best of all,” declared winning owner-breeder William Farish after his Casual Look had just held off Yesterday in a dramatic finish to the Vodafone Oaks.

“This has been the plan between Andrew (Balding) and me for four or five months, all through the winter, and we had to decide whether she would stay the mile and a half.

“We were at one time thinking of the French Oaks which is over only a mile and a quarter, but a short time ago I said to Andrew ‘come on, let’s be bold’ and go for Epsom.

“To stand here having won the Oaks with a home-bred filly like her is a wonderful feeling, and I am here in the footsteps of so many of my famous compatriots, especially my dear friend Paul Mellon.

“Andrew has done a marvellous job with this filly and has trained her really brilliantly, and Martin (Dwyer) rode a wonderful race on her, getting her to the outside in the straight and having in the clear all the time in the finish.

“The last 50 yards were dreadful as we could see Yesterday closing all the time; it got so bad that I could hardly stand up as they got to the finish.

“I don’t know what will happen with her now. I expect we shall talk of the Irish Oaks, but let’s just enjoy this for the moment.”

FIFTH RACE PLACED QUOTES
VODAFONE OAKS

TROUBLES NOT FAR AWAY FOR YESTERDAY

After a far from perfect run, the 100/30 favourite Yesterday flew at the finish of the Vodafone Oaks to go down by just a neck behind Casual Look in the classic, emulating her sister Quarter Moon, who had filled the runner-up spot 12 months ago.

“She didn’t get the best of runs but ran really well,” said Yesterday’s trainer Aidan O’Brien. “There’s no excuses for any horse on that ground and she’ll go for the Irish Oaks next.”

Bargain buy Summitville, who cost just 7,000gns as yearling, ran a great race to finish third. Her trainer James Given said: “Micky (Fenton) gave her a brilliant ride. She was behind early as we were keen to get her settled and he crept round nicely on the outside which was the place to be - look what happened to (Yesterday’s rider) Mick Kinane on the inside.

“We knew it wasn’t her true run in France last time, I think that it was absolutely the ground that beat her then.

“We hoped she’d handle the ground today, which she did, and that she would get the trip. She’ll go to Ireland now and only if it came up soft would we have a rethink. I think faster ground might improve her more because, as the Irish would say, it might disimprove some of the others.

“I’m delighted for Andrew (Balding), who I had dinner with last night and he said that we would finish just behind him so he got it spot on.”

Inchberry, who was backed at up to 600/1 on the betting exchanges, ran a blinder to finish fourth.

“We need to win a maiden with her now,” joked Barry Reilly, who manages the filly’s owner/breeder Woodcote Stud.

Trainer Gerard Butler added: “I’m really thrilled. We took her here a couple of times to gallop and couldn’t believe how well she handled it. Off the top of my head I would think about something like the Lancashire Oaks.”

Hi Dubai finished fifth for Godolphin and trainer Saeed bin Suroor said: “She has run OK but I think she needs to drop in distance to a mile and a quarter. She travelled very well until the last two furlongs then she had done enough. We’ll see how she comes out of it before making any plans.”

WINNING AND PLACED QUOTES RACE ONE
PRINCESS ELIZABETH STAKES

ALDORA “IS SO TOUGH”

Aldora won for the third time in six starts this year when she swept past Londonnetdotcom to take the opener by a length and a half.

“She is so tough and that’s is what it is all about,” said her trainer Mick Ryan. “She is all heart and the most important thing with her is the bit that you cannot see.

“Martin (Dwyer) rode an excellent race on her and got her very nicely settled. I sent him out with two possible plans, but he never needed to worry about Plan B as all went so well with Plan A.

“At one time we thought that she wanted soft ground, but that does not seem to be the case any more with her. She might have run at Pontefract on Monday if she had not won here, but now that she has won I don’t think we will be going to Yorkshire.

“She is getting much more relaxed as she gets older. At one time last year she used to be what I call a bit ‘toey’, but she is far better now, though she did not like the tail-string of the sponsors’ rug being put round her quarters.”

Mick Channon, trainer of runner-up Londonnetdotcom, said: “On her form she was in there to run a cracker today and she’s run a good race. But the winner is so tough -- she’s the type of horse you’d love to train.

“I think a mile is her trip and we’ll have a look at the SandringhamHandicap at Royal Ascot. The handicapper should not do too much to her after today.”

SECOND RACE QUOTES
VODAFONE CORPORATE HANDICAP

GLANCE BODES WELL FOR LOOK

Trainer Andrew Balding, who saddles Casual Look in today’s Vodafone Oaks, had a good omen when 16/1 chance Passing Glance beat 9/2 favourite Highland Shot to give the stable a 1-2 in the Vodafone Corporate Handicap.

“I didn’t know which one to cheer on,” said Balding, whose father Ian bred and owns the winner with Michael Wates.

“Full credit to Dad who insisted on running him here. I was umming and aahing about whether to run him here as I thought he wasn’t quite right.

“Martin (Dwyer) wasn’t given any choice about which one he was on but he gave the horse a brilliant ride.

“Dumaran (who finished eighth) also ran a hell of a race off 10 stone.”

Looking ahead to Casual Look, Balding added: “If she gets the trip she’ll go very close.”

Bruce Raymond, representing Jaber Abdullah the owner of third-placed Anna Walhaan, said: “He keeps plugging away and ran well there. He is a very good ride for an apprentice and the lad (Eddie Creighton) rode him well. He’s in the Royal Hunt Cup in which he’s got 7st 10lb and if he makes the cut we’ll have a look at it.”

WINNING QUOTES RACE THREE
VODAFONE NEWBURY HANDICAP

HOLD THOSE HUNT CUP BETS

Akshar, carrying the green and red silks of the Aga Khan which Johnny Murtagh will be wearing on the strongly-fancied Alamshar in the Vodafone Derby tomorrow, came from some way off the pace to win the Vodafone Newbury Handicap.

His name has been mentioned in connection with the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot later this month, but his trainer Sir Michael Stoute immediately sounded a note of caution.

“I would think that a mile might be a bit short for him,” he said. “I know he is well in, in theory, with only the one penalty, but I would advise people not to think about backing him at the moment.”

Sir Michael also has Funfair in the big Ascot handicap and he may turn out to be the stable’s choice for the race.

There was an axious moment or two for those who had backed Akshar down to 5-4 favourite, and two furlongs out he had eight lengths to make up on the clear leader Danelor.

But the colt responded well to Murtagh’s driving and ran on well to pick up the leader inside the final furlong to win by a length and a half. “It did look a bit worrying for a moment and he certainly had to to some running,” Sir Michael added.

Murtagh said: “The leader nearly got away, but my horse picked up really good and he probably idled a bit when he got there.

“The rain won’t hinder Alamshar in the Deby but it will help others -- some of the others might not have liked good to firm. Alamshar is in good form and I hope to be in the winner’s enclosure again.”

Richard Fahey, trainer of runner-up Danelor, said: “he has run a cracker, the last 100 yards just did for him. But he was probably beaten by a better horse on the day.

“It was the plan to make the running as he has a high cruising speed. You could possibly say that he went too fast, but I think if I had been riding I would not have done it any differently. He’ll probably go for the John Smith’s Cup at York and I’d like to book stall 2 now!”

FOURTH RACE WINNING QUOTES
VODAFONE CORONATION CUP

CORONATION FOR BRITTAIN

Veteran Newmarket trainer Clive Brittain landed his first Vodafone Coronation Cup when Warrsan swooped to a half-length victory from Highest.

“He gets himself super-active and part of the secret with him is to remove all excitments from him,” said Brittain. “We have to take him out first thing because if he’s with the rest of the string he gets himself a little over-excited.

“I know it was a triumph today - I can honestly say that! We treated him with kid gloves for his three-year-old career and into his four-year-old year because this was always going to be his season. He’s done well for a one-time 87 handicapper!”

The Vodafone Coronation was the first leg of the BHB Summer Triple Crown but Brittain is unlikely to take up the challenge by running in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes, the next stage.

“If I get short of a few quid we might be tempted, but seriously I wouldn’t willingly drop him back to a mile and a quarter,” he added.

“He won’t be short of Group 1 entries - I put him in the Arc at the first stage - and I would think the King George will be his next race.”

Brittain runs Dutch Gold and Lundy’s Lane in tomorrow’s Vodafone Derby and added: “This is the icing on the cake but we’ve got a two-tiered cake. If the ground eases Dutch Gold would have an outstanding chance while Lundy’s Lane’s race was run in a very fast time in Italy.”

PLACED QUOTES RACE FOUR
VODAFONE CORONATION CUP

MAYBE HARDWICKE FOR HIGHEST

Highest, running for the second time in England since Godolphin bought him at the end of last season, turned in a far better performance than he had done on his previous outing when just going down in a driving finish with old rival Warrsan and Black Sam Bellamy in the Vodafone Coronation Cup.

“I thought for a moment or two that he was coming to win it,” said racing manager Simon Crisford afterwards, “and even though he has been beaten he has run a cracking race -- a really good effort.

“It was important for us that he showed how wrong his Newmarket run (behind Warrsan in the Sagitta Jockey Club Stakes) had been, and he certainly did that here.

“He is in the Hardwicke (at Royal Ascot) and we shall certainly look at that now.”

GOING CHANGED TO GOOD

The official going description was changed to

GOOD

from good, good to firm in places, after the fourth race.

PLACED QUOTES RACE SIX
VODAFONE SURREY STAKES

TREBLE UP FOR BALDING

Andrew Balding’s amazing day continued when Rimrod got up in the final stride of the Vodafone Surrey Stakes to snatch the prize from Naahy and complete a 700.25-1 treble for the Kingsclere trainer.

“What a marvellous day.,” he enthused. “To have three winners here on Oaks day, and the Oaks itself, is unbelievable. Coming here today I thought we would have one winner and that would be this fellow -- Rimrod. I really fancied him.

“Now I have one more in the last race here (Arctic Desert) and then it is off to Goodwood. I must arrange for the lads to have a good party this evening and then we are back here tomorrow with two more runners.

“Rimrod made hard work of winning and up to a point he has been a bit disappointing this year until now. But Naahy (the runner-up) is no slouch and I think time will show that giving him 4lb was a pretty decent performance. I expect that all being well he will go for the Jersey next.”

Balding related how he had been left in no doubt that not all racing days can be as brilliant as this one. “Two people who have been in racing for many years (Mick Channon and Willie Carson) have told me that it will be all downhill from now on ,” he said with a smile.

WINNING QUOTES RACE SEVEN
VODAFONE GROUP SERVICES HANDICAP

ANOTHER SHORT HEAD

A day of dramatic finishes ended with yet another as Frankie Dettori got Tarjman up in the final stride to snatch the seven-furlong Vodafone Group Services Handicap from Court Masterpiece. The runner-up had come from nearly as far off the pace as the winner to get in front 50 yards from home, but barely had he put his nose in front than he was headed.

Dettori told John Ferguson, representing the winner’s owner Sheikh Ahmed al Maktoum, that Tarjwan “did not like the ground or the track. I was meant to lay about fifth or sixth, but I think I had only two behind me turning for home.”

Ferguson agreed. “He did not jump as well we he can, but he got there in the end. I think he is an improving horse, going the right way, and it looks as if he will get further.

FALLON BANNED

It was not a good race for Kieren Fallon. As well as being beaten a short head on Court Masterpiece, he was also suspended for one day (June 15) for careless riding, He was found guilty of causing interference to the winner, who in turn impeded Soyuz, who in his turn caused problems for Nuit Sombre.

GOING NEWS AT 10 AM

The course has continued to dry out and the going for the first day of the Vodafone Derby meeting is now

GOOD, GOOD TO FIRM IN PLACES.

“The forecast is for no more than some light, patchy rain this afternoon, quite a lot less than was originally suggested,” said clerk of the course Andrew Cooper.

“It will be cooler than yesterday, with less sun and more cloud, so though there is still a breeze the track will dry out less quickly than it did yesterday.

“As far as watering is concerned, we shall monitor the situation through the day, see how the course is riding and see what is forecast for tomorrow.”

As has now become customary, part of the track will be railed off today to provide fresh ground for Vodafone Derby day.

“We have moved out the rail by about six yards from the six furlong marker to the winning post,” said Cooper. “This will ensure the best possible ground for tomorrow.”

NON RUNNERS

So far today there are three non-runners.

Race 2 2.10 17 Dance On The Top (vet’s certificate)
(No. 15 Sawwah has been wrongly indicated as a non-runner in this race - the horse will run)

Race 4 3.25 3 Foreign Affairs (vet’s certificate)

Race 7 5.20 15 Bi Polar (vet’s certificate)

BETTING NEWS

There are many and varied opinions about what will win today, as is made clear from the wide range of betting early in the day, with money for at least three horses in the second race, the Vodafone Corporate Handicap (2.10).

William Hill, for example, have seen money for the rank outsider Londoner, who has come in from 66-1 to 25-1, Victor Chandlers report interest in Mystic Man from 8-1 to 7-1, and Sky Bet have cut Joint Statement from 16-1 to 12-1. Londoner has also been in demand with the Tote and Coral, who have both brought him in from 40-1 to 25-1. The Tote have also had money for Everest, who has come in from 6-1 to 9-2, and Paddy Power have cut the six-year-old by half a point to 4-1.

Akshar has been all the rage in the Vodafone Newbury Handicap (2.45). He is in from 15-8 to 6-4 with Chandlers, from 2-1 to 6-4 with Hills and Sky Bet, from 2-1 to 13-8 with the Tote, from 15-8 to 13-8 with Powers, from 7-4 to 6-4 with Ladbrokes and from 13-8 to 11-8 with Coral.

There is some opposition to him, though, with Danelor being cut from 7-1 to 5-1 by Coral and to that price from 6-1 by Hills and Ladbrokes, and Powers and Ladbrokes having money for the outsider Prairie Wolf, who has come in from 28-1 to 22-1 and from 40-1 to 33-1 respectively..

In the Vofadone Coronation Cup (3.25) Powers report interest in Polish Summer, who has been trimmed from 7-1 to 13-2, Coral have laid Bandari from 13-2 to 11-2, and Hills have cut Bandari from 6-1 to 5-1.

High Praise has been very lively in the market for the Vodafone Oaks (4.05). She has come in from 33-1 to 16-1 with Coral, from the same price to 20-1 with the Tote, to 18-1 from 25-1 with Hills, from 33-1 to 20-1 with Chandlers, Sky Bet and Powers. Chandlers have also had support for Geminiani, who has come in from 20-1 to 16-1

And things do not end there, for in the closing Vodafone Group Services Handicap (5.20) there has been money with Powers for Nuit Sombre, who has been cut from 25-1 to 16-1.

HOW THE DERBY BETTING BOOKS STAND

The big bookmakers will be running for cover if Brian Boru wins the Vodafone Derby tomorrow, but victory for any other than him, Alamshar and Refuse To Bend will be greeted with resounding cheers.

Brian Boru has been a dreadful loser for most of the firms from as early as last autumn, even before he won the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster, which really catapulted him into the public eye, and ever since the Cheltenham National Hunt Festival in March the bookies have been dreading tomorrow afternoon.

Simon Clare of Coral speaks for many of the firms when he explains that the colt is the final leg of a large number of multiple bets which took in some of the six Irish-trained winners at the Cheltenham Festival. “Most of the people who involved him in bets with us then are on at 6-1, as that was his prevailing price at the time and if he wins he will be our worst result for years. Some people backed him at 40-1 last year.”

Though he is by far their biggest loser, Coral will also end up on the wrong side if either Alamshar or Refuse To Bend is successful.Outside those three, things are on their side.

The Tote, who laid 25-1 about Brian Boru last summer, are in a similar position as far as the Aidan O’Brien-trained colt is concerned and their losses will run “well into six figures”, according to spokesman Andy Clifton. Refuse To Bend and Alamshar would also be losers for their book, but to nothing like the same extent.

David Hood of William Hill will not be so badly hit if Brian Boru is successful, though it will still be a losing race for them. They offered only 8-1 about the colt after he won the Racing Post Trophy, when other firms were quoting twice that price. “But he will still be a bad result for us as we have lots of doubles and trebles running on to him from Cheltenham,” he says.

“Of the first three in the betting, Alamshar would be the best result as far as we are concerned, and Graikos would be an absolute skinner. How often can you say that about Frankie Dettori’s ride in a big race?”

Hills and Victor Chandler have also laid 25-1 about Kris Kin, and Chandlers have Brian Boru in their book at 16-1 from after his Racing Post Trophy victory. “Alamshar is also a big loser, but Refuse To Bend is just a winner for us,” says their spokesman Neal Wilkins.

TREBIZOND RUNS AWAY WITH MEADOW BROOK AT BELMONT

BELMONT, N.Y. -- The Irish were smiling on Long Island Thursaday as Irish-bred horse Trebizond and Irish jockey Tom Foley stormed home with the $106,150 Meadow Brook Stakes (Gr. I) at Belmont Park Thursday.

Owned by Bill Lickle and trained by Kathy Neilson, the winner sat just off a quick early pace and kicked to the front with an inside move on the final turn. Trained by Kathy Neilson, Trebizond fought past Understood at the top of the stretch, and had plenty left to defeat runner-up Blasphemous by 3 1/4 lengths. Mr Perkolater, also trained by Neilson, was third. The winner covered the 2 1/2 miles over a soft turf course in 4:57.65 and returned $9.60, $5.90 and $4.10 as the second choice in a field of 11. Blasphemous, sent off at 52-1, paid $36.20 to place.

A son of Sadler's Wells, Trebizond was bred by famed Irish horseman Vincent O'Brien, and was imported by Lickle in 1999. After racing briefly on the flat, Trebizond switched to hurdling and has won four of 14 starts and earned $205,110. Foley, born in Ireland, has likewise been in the U.S. for some time and has risen up the American steeplechase standings. The Meadow Brook was the jockey's eighth win (and third in a Grade I stakes) this year.

"We wanted to have him pretty close and I didn't want to give the inside to anybody so I stayed on the inside," said Foley, who rode in New Zealand last week. "My horse likes to be kept competitive, but there was no pushing him today. He just went out and did his job. He's a Sadler's Wells, he loves the trip and loves this ground. He's a tough horse, not very speedy. You've got to love the Irish."

Trebizond confirmed his May 3 win in the Hard Scuffle (Gr. I) at Churchill Downs. The Hard Scuffle opened the Steeplechase Triple Crown, which lost its second stage due to weather at Pimlico the day before the Preakness. The victory, worth $63,690, pushed 7-year-old Trebizond to the top of the National Steeplechase Association standings with $134,410 earned this year.

£600,000 SCOOP6 SATURDAY

Scoop6 punters are in for a treat this Saturday when the total amount on offer for the Saturday bet will break through the half-a-million-pound barrier for the first time since last November.

The longest sustained sequence of Saturday's on which the bet has been won had made big rollovers a rarity in the first half of this year, but coming into this Saturday £272,223 sits in the Win fund and £137,104 lines the Bonus Prize fund.

"The last time the pools closed containing more than half-a-million was the day Paul Freeman landed the second half of his £517,000 Win/Bonus double after investing £8 on the bet last November," said Tote spokesman Jeremy Scott. "By the time the pools close tomorrow they're likely to be nudging the £600,000."

"Paul's win seemed to mark a turn in fortunes for Scoop6 punters who between then and the time when the current rollovers started to build have found the Win fund combination on 16 of the 23 Saturday's, (a 70% strike-rate) winning the Bonus fund on five occasions."

"What is for certain tomorrow is that anyone finding six winners will become the 'fastest' ever Scoop6 winner with all six races over in just one hour!"

Saturday's Scoop6 legs are:
leg 1 - 1.35 Haydock
leg 2 - 1.40 Epsom
leg 3 - 1.50 Doncaster
leg 4 - 2.05 Haydock
leg 5 - 2.20 Doncaster
leg 6 - 2.35 Haydock
