SKY BET TO OFFER 110% BOOK FOR ONE RACE EACH DAY AT ROYAL ASCOT
The excitement of Royal Ascot has arrived and leading UK bookmaker Sky Bet are presenting customers with an unrivalled special of a 110% book on one race on each day of the five days of the festival.
The 110% offer will go live from 9am on the morning of the selected race and will remain available until the first show of the day.
On the first day of the festival (Tuesday 17th June 2003) the selected race will be the King's Stand Stakes at 3.05pm.
Sky Bet Media Relations Manager Dale Tempest said: "We offered the 110% book on the Epsom Derby and were top price on 15 of the 20 runners. It's pretty safe to say it will be a similar situation at Ascot."

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY ACTION AT REDCAR
Racegoers at Redcar's two-day meeting on Friday and Saturday (20 & 21 June) will also be able to see the action ‘live' from the last two days at Royal Ascot on the giant Tote Screen situated opposite the main stands.
Saturday's seven-race programme, which begins at 1.45 p.m. features The Tetley's Smooth Handicap Stakes, a £20,000-added contest over one mile and a quarter – one of five races sponsored at Redcar this year by Carlsberg-Tetley Brewing Ltd. As part of the on-going commercial venture with the racecourse.
The Tote Scoop6 Handicap Stakes, a valuable race for sprinters over six furlongs, forms part of the Tote's special televised bet on a Saturday, the Scoop6. Saturday's card also includes The Tees Components Handicap Stakes, a contest for stayers over one mile and three-quarters, supported by Tees Components Ltd. of North Skelton, who are sponsoring at their local racecourse for the eighth year. The Company's horse, Tees Components, trained locally by Mary Reveley, last month won over hurdles at Kelso and is all set to compete once again in some of the U.K.'s leading handicap races on the Flat.
Redcar's caterers, Romfords of Haydon Bridge sponsor a Classified Stakes contest over the straight seven furlongs, while The 95FM BBC Radio Cleveland Handicap Stakes (a race for three-year-olds) complements the BBC Radio Cleveland Roadshow situated in the Course Enclosure during the afternoon. The station will also be broadcasting ‘live' from the course and racegoers will be able to visit the BBC ‘Bus' to find out about information relating to the BBC's products, services and on-line services.
Also on Saturday, the Aintree Simulator will enable racegoers to experience the thrills and spills of riding in The Grand National in a special ‘virtual' ride, while other attractions in the Course Enclosure include Punch & Judy shows, balloon modeling, bouncy castle, a clown and the children's playground. Musical entertainment is provided by Irish-music band ‘Scarlet Heights' and the West Jesmond Rhythm Kings.
The first 1,000 racegoers through the gates on Saturday will each receive a voucher for a complimentary pint of beer or glass of wine.
The action on Friday starts at 2.10 p.m., with Vinci Services Ltd., the Billingham-based construction and multi-faceted company returning to Redcar to support a handicap contest for three-year-olds over the straight seven furlongs. The Business Contact Maiden Stakes over one mile and three-quarters is once again sponsored by Cameron Publishing Ltd. of Team Valley.
The racecards on both days will contain full details of the races at Royal Ascot.
SUNDAY SPECTACULAR AT PONTEFRACT
The second of Pontefract's three Sunday meetings this year takes place this weekend (22 June), when the seven-race programme begins at 2.20p.m. As usual at Pontefract's Sunday fixtures, there's a host of attractions for young racegoers from when the gates open at 11.30 a.m.
The most valuable race of the afternoon, The Mail on Sunday/Tote Mile Rated Stakes, a £20,000 handicap race over one mile, is a qualifying race in a national series which culminates in a Final at Ascot in September.
The Tote Exacta Pontefract Cup is a handicap contest for stayers over two and a quarter miles, while three-year-olds are in action in the second running of The Graham Rock Memorial Handicap Stakes over one mile and a quarter. The late Graham Rock was a renowned racing journalist, who was the first editor of the Racing Post. He was latterly the racing correspondent for the Observer and a member of BBC's Television's racing team. He was also a racehorse owner; his colours were carried to memorable victories by Pasternak in both The John Smith's Cup at York and The Tote Cambridgeshire Handicap at Newmarket in 1997. His roots were always in Yorkshire and he visited Pontefract many times as a youngster and then later in life when working for Timeform and the now-defunct Sporting Chronicle.
L & J Windows of Doncaster return to sponsor for the third time on a Sunday at Pontefract, supporting a handicap race for fillies and mares over one mile, while Silentnight Beds transfer their allegiance from the August Sunday to sponsor a £15,000-added Classified Stakes contest over one mile and a quarter, the fifth year they have supported the racing programme.
New sponsors, Tolent Construction of Wakefield put their name to a race for maiden three-year-olds, while the opening race - a contest for juvenile maiden fillies enjoys the support of the European Breeders Fund.
The giant ToteVision Screen, situated opposite the main stands will assist racegoers to follow all of the action during the afternoon, while the musical entertainment is provided by the Corps of Drums and the Tom Roberts Jazz Band.
As usual, accompanied childred under 16 years of age are admitted free of charge into all enclosures. The range of attractions in the Third Enclosure includes free performances by The National Festival Circus, a Children's Fun Fair, bouncy castles, Go Carts, wandering clowns and Topper (a juggler/unicyclist). There's also a supervised creche facility and free sweets - while stocks last!
The afternoon's full colour racecard will contain a special competition for racegoers, held in association with 'Go Racing in Yorkshire' on the nine Yorkshire tracks this year. The overall competition winner - announced at the GRIY Annual Lunch in December - will receive a holiday for two in Spain, courtesy of Planet Air and Ripon Travel. Saturday's winner will receive Tote betting vouchers and a copy of 'Travelling The Turf 2003' and will go into the big draw for the holiday prize.
