SANDOWN WINNER HEADS BETTING FOR DANTE
*York Race Should Shake Up Derby Betting
Last month's Sandown winner, Chabal, is the 9-4 favourite with Coral for Thursday's Totesport Dante, following the final declarations for the York contest. The current Investec Derby 8-1 second favourite, Workforce, is 5-2 for the Dante, ahead of another leading Derby hope, Coordinated Cut, at 10-3.
"Despite his Guineas defeat, St Nicholas Abbey remains favourite for the Derby, and the results of the trials so far have failed to alter that position. However, an impressive win on Thursday by one of the leading contenders could finally see the long time market leader replaced at the head of the betting," said Coral's David Stevens.
