DISTRIBUTION DEAL ALLOWS AT THE RACES TO REACH 26 MILLION US HOMES
In a move that will broaden the reach of ATR's programming to nearly 26 million homes in the United States, TVG, America's Horseracing Network, recently announced that it has amended its distribution agreement with DIRECTV to expand the reach and duration of its coverage.
The long-term amended agreement will deliver the network's programming to over eight million DIRECTV subscribers and TVG remains the only horseracing network available to DIRECTV's customers. TVG is now more than double the size of any US network dedicated to horseracing.
TVG has been carrying live ATR content for an average of between three and fours hours a day, seven days a week since January as part of a long-term reciprocal agreement that also sees ATR screen top quality American racing from tracks such as Aqueduct, Belmont Park and Saratoga on the revamped ATR Stateside.
