Wolverhampton Racecourse, Dunstall Park hosts its annual 'Enabled Day' on Friday 27 May, offering free entrance to disabled people and their carers who pre-order tickets to the race afternoon.
There have been nearly 200 requests for tickets from various disabled organizations, many of whom have been in previous years such as Wolverhampton Mental Health. This year's fixture has attracted visitors from around the West Midlands including Wolverhampton Medical Health Authority, Eyecatchers Group from Halesowen, Milbury Care Centre, Birmingham, Re-think, Wolverhampton, Codsall Day Service.
Marketing Manager Amanda Thomas said: "The response has been fantastic and this year we have two further dates on Saturday 10 September and Saturday 22 October when disabled people and organisations may apply for free tickets to the racing a month in advance. We hope that they all have a great day on Friday and look forward to welcoming everyone"
Dunstall Park has plenty of free parking including disabled parking spaces, ground floor access to the racecourse, lifts and plenty of staff willing to assist where necessary.
