CURRAGH WINNER SWALLOW CUT FOR KING GEORGE


Grey Swallow is 6-1 (from 10-1) with Coral for the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes following his win in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at The Curragh this afternoon.

On a day packed with high-class action, the first winner at the Irish track, George Washington, earned a 16-1 quote from Coral for next year’s 2,000 Guineas, while Scorpion, well backed for the Vodafone Derby prior to his narrow defeat in the Gallinule Stakes, is 10-1 (from 12-1) for the Espom Classic.


Across the Channel, easy Longchamp winner Westerner remains 4-1 second favourite with Coral for the Ascot Gold Cup.
