The ante post plunge on Visindar for this year's Vodafone Derby continued today after the Andre Fabre trained colt had put up an impressive performance on his seasonal debut at Longchamp.
Coral reacted to the win by cutting Visindar to 9-1 from 11-1 for the Derby but were then inundated with bets on the son of Sinndar forcing them to slash his price to 7-1 and then 13-2 in a vain attempt to stem the tide.
Visindar was freely available at 25-1 just seven days ago but since then he has become the best backed horse in the race.
"This is one of the biggest Derby gambles we have seen in years and punters were falling over themselves to back him at any price this afternoon", said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.
