Coral has cut Forest Gunner to 11-1 (from 14-1) for Saturday's John Smith’s Grand National after Carrie Ford's mount was the subject of mass support over the weekend.

“Thanks to Ginger McCain's comments, Carrie Ford and Forest Gunner are guaranteed headline coverage this week, but unlike Ginger, plenty of punters think a lady rider can win the National and are backing this horse accordingly,” confirmed Coral's David Stevens.

“Forest Gunner could well go off favourite if the money continues to pour in, although AP McCoy, still seeking his first win in the Aintree marathon, could have other ideas on board Clan Royal,” added Stevens.

Across the Atlantic, High Fly's win in the Florida Derby saw his Kentucky Derby odds tumble to 6-1 (from 14-1), and Nick Zito's charge now heads Coral's betting for the Run for the Roses.
