GOING (Polytrack): Standard

BP= the best price at the time of writing

1) (2) (5)-(1)(0)(1)(1) WILD PITCH Philip Mitchell 6-9-11b Jack Mitchell (7)
Relished the step up in trip when scoring over the course and distance 10 days ago. Races off an 11lb higher mark but won easily that day and could defy the extra but no value. BP=5/2

2)(4) 0(5)(4)(2)-(3) NAWAMEES Gary Moore 9-9-09p Ryan Moore
Frustrating hold-up performer who has yet to win on the all-weather despite 13 attempts. Yard in form and not badly handicapped but not one to trust though Ryan Moore is back on board. BP=7/1

3) (8) (4)(1)(1)(4)-(2) BILLICH Eoghan O'Neill 4-9-05 Joe Fanning
Twice a winner over an extended two miles here in November, the first under today's rider who enjoyed a 50% strike-rate from only two rides for the stable last year. Just touched off on his return from a break last time. Drop in trip may not be ideal.. BP=4/1

4) (3) -(0)(5)(6)(8)(0) VALANCE Charles Egerton 7-9-05tb Seb Sanders
Won over the course and distance in August. Now rated 1lb lower than when successful that day but his recent form has been woeful. BP=20/1

5) (1) 156-(4)(4) CROON Tim Pitt 5-9-03 Greg Fairley (3)
Course winner who displayed a good level of ability on turf last season for Hughie Morrison. Showed little in three starts over hurdles for Caroline Bailey before running respectably on debut for current yard at Lingfield. Disappointed at Southwell last time but cannot be entirely dismissed. BP=10/1

6) (5) (3)(3)(6)-(5)(1) PASS THE PORT Derek Haydn Jones 6-9-03p Robert Havlin
Raised 4lb for a narrow course victory over 12 furlongs last time. Rarely finds much off the bridle and the step up in trip is not guaranteed to suit. BP= 9/1

7) (6) (2)0(3)(1)(1)- SALUTE Pat Murphy 8-9-02 Dane O'Neill
In great form at the end of 2006 winning here and at Lingfield. Those successes came over two miles plus and he was outpaced before staying on when third over the course and distance in November. He will be suited by the good pace here and could run well. BP=14/1

8) (10) (1)(3)/(6)(0)(8) MISSION TO MARS Pat Murphy 8-9-02 Steve Drowne
Prolific Lingfield Polytrack winner in his youth but has failed to sparkle since returning in November from a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Now 15lb lower than his peak but has a lot to prove. BP=40/1

9) (11) 052(2)-(0) JEEPSTAR Stuart Williams 7-9-01 Jean-Ppierre Guillambert
Well treated on his best form in turf handicaps back in 2005. Narrowly touched off on his Polytrack debut over a mile and a half at Kempton in December but weakened badly over two miles at Lingfield last time. Makes the running. BP=12/1

10) (7) (1)-(1)(2)(3)(3) SHARE THE FEELING James Unett 5-8-12 Richard Kingscote (3) Game sort who has scored three times from six starts at the course. Latest of those wins came over the course and distance. He has been placed off a 10lb higher mark and is now 10lb better off with Wild Pitch for eight lengths last time. Excellent value. BP=10/1

11) (12) 04060/ TRUST RULE Mick Easterby 7-8-12t Dale Gibson
Out of sorts over hurdles this winter and has not shown a glimmer of form since running fourth of 10 in a Chester handicap back in July, 2005..BP=33/1

12) (9) (3)(4)(3)(0)-(0) TURN N' BURN Charles Cyzer 6-8-06 Eddie Ahern
Consistent performer but only success came in a Lingfield maiden over two years ago. Held by Salute on Kempton running in December. BP=33/1

SUMMARY

This is an interesting little handicap with a number horses boasting decent claims. Share The Feeling is the clear value each-way.

GOOD LUCK
