STANLEYBET TO SUPPORT LINCOLN UNTIL 2008




Stanleybet is extending its generous support of the Lincoln meeting at Doncaster into 2008 with a three-year agreement, it is announced today, Thursday, March 31, 2005.


The leading Liverpool-based bookmaker, which has been associated with the famous meeting since 2003, will continue to sponsor the Listed Stanleybet Doncaster Mile on the Thursday of the Lincoln meeting and will add two additional supporting races to its portfolio.


On the Friday, Stanleybet retains its support of the Stanleybet Spring Mile Handicap and will also support a further three additional supporting events.


The bookmaker will carry on sponsoring the feature Stanleybet Lincoln, as well as the Listed Stanleybet Cammidge Trophy on the Saturday plus two new additional supporting contests.


Nick Yates, Retail Marketing Manager of Stanleybet, said: "Stanleybet is very pleased to extend its sponsorship of the Lincoln for a further three years and to be able to offer an enhanced package, with more televised races being run under the Stanleybet banner.


"We have a great relationship with the team at Doncaster Racecourse and it is wonderful to have the name Stanleybet associated with the Lincoln. The race is one of the season's most famous handicaps and gets the Flat season off to a flying start."

Ted Taylor, Managing Director of Doncaster Racecourse, added: "Doncaster Racecourse has created a brilliant working relationship with Stanleybet since their initial support of the Lincoln meeting in 2003. I am delighted that they have decided to extend their sponsorship and we expect the meeting to become even stronger than it is now."



TOTE IRELAND CELEBRATES 75TH ANNIVERSARY WITH PUNCHESTOWN SPONSORSHIP




Tote Ireland is to celebrate its 75th anniversary this spring by sponsoring a EUR75,000 handicap hurdle on Tuesday, April 26, the opening day of the Irish National Hunt Festival at Punchestown. Tote Ireland will be inviting 8,000 guests to come and celebrate the occasion at Punchestown.


The race has seen its prize money virtually doubled from EUR40,000 last year and will form part of a major involvement for Tote Ireland at the 2005 Irish National Hunt Festival.


For the four days of the Festival, Tote Ireland is offering a Guaranteed Tote Jackpot each day of EUR50,000.


Martin Harrell, Commercial and Business Development Manager at Tote Ireland, said today: "At Punchestown 2004, Tote Ireland took over EUR3.6 million, smashing our previous festival records, something we are looking to repeat this year. 2005 is a very special year for Tote Ireland, not only are we celebrating our 75th Anniversary but are very proud that it should coincide with our Presidency of the European Association of Parimutuels. We are delighted to commence these celebrations with our Punchestown race sponsorship and look forward to a fabulous Festival."
