3.10pm Littlewoods Bet Direct Handicap (Class C) (3yo+,0-95) 1m 2f
1) (2) -101 Gig Harbor 21 Emma Lavelle 5-10-00 Liam Keniry(3)
His two recent wins have come over 12 furlongs on this track and now, higher in the weights, there are doubts that he is so effective over this shorter distance.
BP= 7/1 Ladbrokes
2) (12 )021- Turbo 112 (90J) Toby Balding 5-9-13p Robert Havlin
Being aimed at the £100,000 Freephone Stanleybet Lincoln on turf at Doncaster over a mile in March and has not run since November. First attempt on the all-weather surface. Best watched.
BP= 20/1 Coral Eurobet, Tote, Stanleybet & William Hill
3) (7) 403- Dumaran 126 Willie Musson 6-9-11 Michael Fenton
First all-weather attempt and has not run since October.
BP= 201/ Blue Square
4) (6) -220 Northside Lodge 14 Peter Harris 6-9-06 Ian Mongan
Ran well here three times before disappointing last time out. May have had his chances.
BP= 7/1 Stanleybet
5) (3) /111 Consonant 8 David Bridgwater 7-9-05 Kieren Fallon
He has had three wins wins over a mile at Wolverhampton on the Fibresand. This is a different surface and he is worth opposing over this extra two furlongs.
BP= 11/2 Stanleybet & William Hill
6) (5) 715- Arry Dash 309 Mick Channon 4-9-05 S Hitchcott(3)
Could be anything. Won at Southwell last year over seven furlongs and then was second here in a conditions race by Californian who went to American and ran well in Grade Two company. Has not run since April last year. One to keep an eye on.
BP= 18/1 Ladbrokes
7) (4) 659- Qudrah 128 E J O ìNeill 4-9-03b1 Royston ffrench
Ex-French filly who was formerly owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum. Difficult to sum up.
BP= 40/1 mostly
8) (1) 0-64 Dance In The Sun 35 Amanda Perrett 4-9-03 Dane O ìNeill 101
Fourth over 12 furlongs here last time out and previously sixth over 10 furlongs. Has done well at this distance before and may have need that first tun of the year.
BP= 8/1 Tote
9) (10) 0-12 Moayed 14 N P Littmoden 5-9-1tb Darryll Holland 104
Won a seller here very easily over a mile and then was a slow starting fast finishing second in a handicap over this trip, being a bit unlucky. Has chance..
BP= 7/1 Coral Eurobet
10) (9) 4654 Dower House 14 Andrew Turnell 9-8-13t Dean Corby(3)
Fourth when Moayed was second last time out. Has had plenty of chances and seems held by Northside Lodge.
BP= 11/1 Blue Square & Ladbrokes
11) (8) 4-66 Kentucky King 8 P W Hiatt 4-8-12 Tony Culhane
Lightly raced sort who could be open to improvement but has a tough task here.
BP= 40/1 generally
12) (14) 2-51 Mad Carew 10 Gary Moore 5-8-12eb Simon Whitworth
Won over this trip last time out quite well and has a chance of doing the same again. Seems to have improved but his draw is against him - being on the wide outside.
BP= 9/1 Tote and Bet365
13) (13) 6-61 African Sahara 14 Debbie Mountain 5-8-12t Gary Carter
All out to win from Moayed last time out and has a more difficult task.
BP= 11/1 Bet365
14) (11)-233 Skylarker 14 W S Kittow 6-8-12v1 M Savage(5)
Consistent enough and returns here after three runs at Wolverhampton.
BP= 16/1 Blue Square & Bet365
SUMMARY
This is a competitive race but it is worth having a small bit on ARRY DASH each way as he could prove the blot on the handicap.
