Wetherby Racecourse has been voted the 'Best Small Racecourse in the North' for the fifth time in the last six years by The Racegoers Club.

James Sanderson, Wetherby's Chief Executive, was clearly pleased with this prestigious award, saying "I am delighted that Wetherby has been given this honour once again by The Racegoers Club. The credit goes to the whole of the Wetherby Racecourse team, who work tremendously hard to make Wetherby what it is throughout the year.

"We have had a very good start to our Jumping season, with Ollie Magern winning The bet 365 Charlie Hall Chase and we are looking forward to our very popular two-day Sky Bet Christmas Meeting on Boxing Day Monday and Bank Holiday Tuesday, when some of the best horses in Jump racing will be on display."
