Racing at Doncaster is set to sign off for 2005 with a seven-race programme on Monday (December 19) when the entire card is supported by the Gainsborough-based jazz club, Sands Venue.

Racing on Monday begins at 12-15 p.m. with The Top Cat Juvenile Novices’ Hurdle, a contest for three-year-olds over the extended two miles. The most valuable race of the afternoon is the £12,000-added Richard Shelton Novices’ Chase over two miles and three furlongs, while the longest race is The Sands Venue Novices’ Handicap Chase over three miles.

Top vocalist, Richard Shelton appeared on The Sands Venue stage in the main betting hall during the Ladbrokes St. Leger Festival. From this Saturday until the following Friday (December 17 to 23), he is starring with Alan Becks in Frank & Dean’s Christmas Spectacular with Pete Long’s Big Band, with Richard as Ol’ Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra.

The totesport big screen will be situated opposite the main stands, while the supervised crèche facility in the Family Enclosure is available @ £1-80 per hour.
