THE VALUE BETTING COLUMN EVERY SATURDAY LINGFIELD, SATURDAY, JANUARY 19, 2008 1:55pm £3,600 PARTYBETS.COM LINGFIELD HANDICAP (0-70)1m 4f GOING: Standard for the best odds go to www.BritOdds.com BP= the best price at the time of writing 1.(4) 2176-4 Prime Number John Akehurst 6-9-08 Jean-Pierre Guillambert Fairly consistent sort but there are doubts about he really stays 12 furlongs. Tried to dictate the pace over 10 furlongs when a narrow fourth to Mutamaasek. Now 3lb better off for three quarters of a length. BP= 9/1 2.(9) 0311-1 Mutamaasek Lady Herries 6-9-07 Kirsty Milczarek (3) Has won his last three races, two over 10 furlongs and one at this distance. Has gone up 13lb from all of this. This then will be tougher. The rider feels he is best at 12 furlongs. Bout worth opposing at this price. BP= 2/1 3.(5) 7369-8 Three Thieves Malcolm Saunders 5-9-05 Fergus Sweeney Has been running poorly and there is no reason to suppose that he will do much better here. BP= 25/1 4.(7) 79411- Highest Esteem Gary Moore 4-9-03p George Baker Progressive sort. Won a maiden well in November at Kempton and then a handicap later that month at the same course. Has gone up 13lb but could still be on the upgrade. BP= 5/2 5.(8) 3247-7 Red Wine Tony McCabe 9-9-01 Patrick Mathers(3) Has not won on the all-weather since 2002 but has run promisingly a number of times and performed better than his seventh suggests last time over course and distance earlier this month. BP= 14/1 6.(3) 65452- Motarjm 129 Hugh Collingridge 4-9-00t Seb Sanders Maiden on the Flat and over jumps. Has not run since the end of October when third over hurdles. Ran well previously when third on Polytrack debut at Kempton. BP= 11/2 7.(6) 1714-8 Mister Fizzbomb John Wainwright 5-8-13v NON RUNNER 8.(10) 26/0-0 Mustamad Miss A M Newton-Smith 5-8-12 Chris Catlin Poor form on the Flat and over hurdles. BP= 66/1 9.(1) 2555-8 Bienheureux Gay Kelleway 7-8-10 Hayley Turner Ran bit below par recently after a break. May need to drop further in the ratings. BP= 14/1 10.(2) 8009-9 Salut Saint Cloud Gary Moore 7-8-08 Simon Whitworth Has been running poorly. BP= 25/1 SUMMARY Red Wine is tremendous value each-way at 14/1.
