Lukas - R Alborado) 6/1 Distaff Quotes D. Wayne Lukas (Stellar Jayne, post 11) - “I thought Stellar Jayne's draw was horrible. I didn't like it at all. We are going to have to take a hard look at that race with her. She's been showing speed and normally she would maybe be two or three wide but here, we don't want to take a chance of maybe getting hung out in the parking lot.” Shug McGaughey (Storm Flag Flying, post 7) - “It's perfect. I'd rather be in the middle, so she can be on the outside to make her run.” Craig Dollase (Elloluv, Distaff, post 6): “It's a perfect spot. It's just what we wanted; outside, with the speed on the inside of us. I couldn't be happier, and she's coming up to the race in great shape.” Coral Breeders' Cup Distaff 7-2 Ashado, 4-1 Island Fashion, 5-1 Society Selection, Storm Flag Flying, 6-1 Nebraska Tornado, 10-1 Elloluv, Stellar Jayne, 12-1 Tamwheel, 25-1 Bare Necessities, Hollywood Story, 33-1 Indy Groove William Hill Breeders’ Cup Distaff 9f: 7-2 Society Selection, 4-1 Ashado (from 9-2), 9-2 Island Fashion (from 5), 11-2 Nebrasko Tornado, 6-1 Storm Flag Flying, 10-1 Elloluv, Stellar Jayne, 14-1 Bare Necessities, 20-1 Tamwheel, 25-1 Hollywood Story, 33-1 Indy Groove

I prefer to be there than in the 1. Edgar (Prado) will enjoy the trip very much. I think if she's best, she's going to win. She's in good form. I think it's a strong field, a great bunch of fillies.” Julio Canani (Sweet Catomine, post 10) -“Marty (owner Marty Wygod) and I were both hoping for an outside post. She shouldn't get any dirt in her face being on the outside. I prefer the outside to the one.” Richard Dutrow (Sis City, post 7) - “That seems reasonable. I'm satisfied. It's not a bad post. I just didn't want a bad post like the rail or some of those outside.” Michael Stidham (Culinary, post 5) - “I am very happy with it. It's not the one and it's not the 13.” Coral Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies 9-4 Sweet Catomine, 5-1 Balletto, Sense Of Style, 7-1 Sharp Lisa, 10-1 Mona Lisa, Runway Model, 12-1 Culinary, Sis City, 14-1 In The Gold, 16-1 Dance Away Capote, 20-1 Play With Fire, 25-1 Higher World, 50-1 Culture Clash William Hill Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies 8 1/2f: 11-4 Sweet Catomine (from 5-2), 9-2 Sense of Style (from 4), 5-1 Balletto, 8-1 Culinary (from 9), Runaway Model, 11-1 Sharp Lisa, 14-1 In The Gold, Mona Lisa (from 20), SIS City, 22-1 Danceaway Capote, 25-1 Higher World, Play With Fire, 28-1 Culture Clash

Graham - E Coa) 8/1 Mile Quotes Julio Canani (Special Ring, post 3; Blackdoun, post 13)-“I wish could trade the posts between the two. I would like to flip-flop. Special Ring likes to go to the lead and would be better off going there from the outside. Blackdoun has the same style as Silic and Val Royal, and they both won this race from post 12. Both horses are healthy, and the rest is out of my hands.” Frankie Dettori (Jockey, Diamond Green, post 8) - “Eight of 14 is good enough. I didn't want to be 14.” Mark Frostad (Soaring Free, post 4) - “It's a great post for the Mile, and I'm very happy to get it. He's a speed horse, and he shouldn't have any trouble from there.” Robin Graham (Mr O'Brien, Mile, post 14)-“He sits off the pace anyway. This way he'll just let the speed go. Those that are going to take back will take back. He'll be able to run his race.” Coral Breeders' Cup Mile 4-1 Six Perfections, 5-1 Nothing To Lose, 11-2 Special Ring, 6-1 Whipper, 10-1 Artie Schiller, 12-1 Diamond Green, 14-1 Musical Chimes, Antonius Pius, Singletary, 16-1 Blackdoun, Mr O' Brien, 20-1 Domestic Dispute, Soaring Free, Silver Tree, William Hill Breeders’ Cup Mile 1m: 9-2 Six Perfections, 11-2 Whipper (from 13-2), 13-2 Nothing To Lose, 7-1 Artie Schiller, 15-2 Special Ring, 11-1 Soaring Free, 12-1 Antonius Pius, Blackdoun, Diamond Green, 14-1 Musical Chimes, Mr O'Brien, Singletary, 22-1 Silver Tree, 28-1 Domestic Dispute

Asmussen - R Albarado) 30/1 11 Cajun Beat (R. Frankel - C Velazquez) 8/1 12 My Cousin Matt (J. Mullins - R Dominguez) 50/1 13 Midas Eyes (R. Frankel - E Prado) 7/2 Sprint Quotes Steve Asmussen (Bwana Charlie, Sprint, post 1; Cuvee, Sprint, post 10)-“This is ideal for the horses and who they are. They have exact opposite styles, mentally, you know. 'Charlie' is more than big, he's huge, and he'll hold his spot. You realize, from the one hole you're already about where you want to be, and he's just moving forward. If they go too fast early, Cuvee's going to have trouble. And if Bwana Charlie has too much traffic, he's going to have trouble. But they aren't going to be each other's problem. They're not going to jeopardize each other's race.” Bubba Cascio (Gold Storm, Sprint, post 9) - “I'm comfortable, but not good. I would have rather been between the three or the seven but actually there's all those fence horses going to have hustle themselves out of there a bit. It will be fine.” Greg Foley (Champali, Sprint, post 3)-“It was a good draw, we're happy with it. I didn't want to be the one or two hole and I didn't want to be hung out on the outside. The key is to get him off good. There's a lot of speed in there. He'll be stalking, I have to think. You have to be close turning for home, there's not much running from there to the wire, about three-sixteenths of a mile, I think. The quarter pole's on the turn. He needs to be laying pretty good. He better be turning for home. I'd like to be laying third or fourth off them there.” Mike Mitchell (Kela, post 5): “I was just happy I didn't draw the rail. I'm not quite in the middle of the track, but I'm where I just have to worry about those outside horses clearing me and me getting around them [later]. In the first quarter of a mile, I can see him dead last. But then I can see him beginning to make his run in the middle of the turn. He stalked in the Triple Bend [at Hollywood Park] and he didn't like that. Tyler [rider Tyler Baze] came up with the idea of taking him out away from the others in the Bing Crosby and in the Pat O'Brien [both victories at Del Mar]. He let him make his run and he loved it.” Coral Breeders' Cup Sprint 4-1 Speightstown, 5-1 Midas Eyes, 6-1 Kela, 13-2 Clock Stopper, 7-1 Our New Recruit, 9-1 Champali, Cajun Beat, 12-1 Gold Storm, 14-1 Pt's Grey Eagle, 25-1 Cuvee, Bwana Charlie, 33-1 My Cousin Matt, 40-1 Abbondanza Breeders Cup Sprint 6f: 7-2 Speightstown, 5-1 Kela, 6-1 Champali, Midas Eyes, 8-1 Our New Recruit, 10-1 Cajun Beat, Clockstopper, 12-1 Gold Storm, 16-1 Bwana Charlie, PTS Grey Eagle, 20-1 Cuvee, 28-1 Abbodanza, 33-1 My Cousin Matt

It's very humid here, but if she handles that I think she's the best filly in the race.” Coral Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf 6-4 Ouija Board, 9-2 Light Jig, 6-1 Yesterday, 10-1 Riskaverse, Wonder Again, 12-1 Aubonne, Megahertz, 14-1 Moscow Burning, 20-1 Film Maker, 25-1 Super Brand, Katdogawn, 40-1 Shaconage William Hill Breeders’ Cup Fillies and Mares Turf 11f: 7-4 Ouija Board, 3-1 Light Jig, 9-1 Riskaverse, Yesterday, 11-1 Megahertz, Wonder Again, 16-1 Aubonne, Moscow Burning, 20-1 Film Maker, Katdogawn, Super Brand, 33-1 Shaconage

At least he won't get any kick-back.” Nick Zito (Sun King, post 1) - “He got the one; I don't mind. He's a nice horse. Edgar (Prado), I'm sure, will do a nice job. I think he'll have a chance to run his race.” Coral Breeders' Cup Juvenile 7-4 Roman Ruler, 3-1 Proud Accolade, 7-2 Afleet Alex, 8-1 Scandinavia, Sun King, Consolidator, 16-1 Wilko, 33-1 Twice Unbridled, William Hill Breeders’ Cup Juvenile 8 1/2f: 15-8 Roman Ruler, 11-4 Proud Accolade, 7-2 Afleet Alex, 8-1 Consolidator, Sun King, 12-1 Scandinavia, 16-1 Wilko, 66-1 Twice Unbridled
TURF: 1 1/2 miles (Turf). 3&Up. Purse: $2,000,000 draw horse trainer jockey morning line odds 1 Powerscourt (A. O'Brien - J Spencer) 3/1 2 Request for Parole (S. Hough - P Day) 20/1 3 Strut the Stage (M. Frostad - C Nakatani) 20/1 4 Kitten's Joy (D. Romans - J Velazquez) Evens 5 Better Talk Now (H. G. Motion - R Dominguez) 15/1 6 Magistretti (P. Biancone - E Prado) 4/1 7 Star Over the Bay (M. Mitchell - T Blaze) 10/1 8 Mustanfar (K. McLaughlin - J Santos) 20/1 Turf Quotes Patrick Biancone (Magistretti, post 6) - “With eight runners, I don't think it is a big deal. It's a mile and a half. It (the morning line) is very logical. (Magistretti is 4-1 third choice behind even-money Kitten's Joy and 3-1 Powerscourt). Powerscourt beat me. Kitten's Joy beat me, and I beat the others. But racing is not logical.” Mark Frostad (Strut the Stage, post 3) - “The post isn't so important when they're going a mile and a half, but he's in a good spot there.” Mike Mitchell (Star Over the Bay, post 7) - “It just didn't matter what I drew for Star Over the Bay. He's just the lone speed in the race. Even Balto Star, I didn't think he had my kind of speed. I'm only going to go one way. We're not going to try anything stupid in here. We're going to let him go and if they want to go after him they can. It's the only way he can run. If they're out here to win this race, I don't think they'll go with me for the first five-eighths or three-quarters (of a mile). I don't think they'll collar me until the backside. They're not going to change their styles (of running). They're going to hope I'm cheap and I'll stop, but I have to think that with five-eighths of a mile left, they'll be coming after me. When we won the Sunset [at Hollywood Park], Neil's horse (Drysdale's Sarafan) spotted me some weight and when we came back in the Del Mar race (Del Mar Handicap), he spotted me some weight again, but when he came at me, my horse dug in and fought back to win. But I was really impressed with his last race (Clement L. Hirsch Handicap at Oak Tree at Santa Anita) at equal weights, Neil's horse came after me again, but then he just took off and won solidly. I think my horse has gained confidence with those races and I think he's training really well. I think he'll like this course now. When we were here before (second in the Dallas Turf Cup), he went wide on every turn, we rated him and we did things that were different. We've not done that since and we won't do that this time. He's a free-running horse, and that's what he likes.” Coral Breeders' Cup Turf Evs Kittens Joy, 5-2 Powerscourt, 11-2 Magistretti, 12-1 Star Over The Bay, 16-1 Mustanfar, 20-1 Strut The Stage, Request For Parole, 25-1 Better Talk Now William Hill Breeders’ Cup Turf: 4-5 Kittens Joy (from 10-11), 7-2 Powerscourt, 6-1 Magistretti, 10-1 Star Over The Bay, 12-1 Mustanfar, 22-1 Better Talk Now, Request For Parole, Strut The Stage

Wayne Lukas (Azeri, post 3) - “I thought the draw was great for two out of three of them. When Azeri came up at three, I had to contain my enthusiasm because the other ones that were left were 10, 11 and 13. It's a good draw for her. (Lukas' other Breeders' Cup starters are Consolidator, who drew post 4 in the Juvenile and Stellar Jayne, who drew post 11 in the Distaff.) Murray Johnson (Perfect Drift, post 7) - “The draw's not a big deal in a 1 1/4-mile race, but I'd rather be inside than outside.” Christopher Loreiul (Dynever, assistant to Christophe Clement, post 13) - “We're not going to worry about it. He doesn't have a lot of speed, so it should not be a problem. There's nothing we can do now anyway.” Richard Mandella (defending champion Pleasantly Perfect, post 12) -“I wasn't really concerned about the post. He'll ease back in the early going and settle off the first flight of runners anyway.” Dale Romans (Roses in May, post 6) - “I thought we drew very well. We have no excuse with either of them (Kitten's Joy, post 4 in the Turf). Anytime you are in the middle, you are in good shape.” Robin Smullen (Funny Cide, assistant to Barclay Tagg, post 9) - “I think the post is terrific; it's the same post he drew for the Preakness.” Nick Zito (Birdstone, post 7) - “I'm very happy with it. It's a good post. (Jockey Edgar) Prado can see what's going on. As you know, Birdstone's not a big horse, so he can be pushed inside or outside, but we'll see how it goes.” Coral Breeders' Cup Classic 2-1 Pleasantly Perfect, 7-2 Ghostzapper, 6-1 Birdstone, 7-1 Roses In May, 8-1 Funny Cide, 14-1 Perfect Drift, Azeri, Dynever, 25-1 Personal Rush, 33-1 Newfoundland, 40-1 Freefourinternet, Fantasticat, 50-1 Bowman's Band William Hill Breeders’ Cup Classic 10f: 2-1 Pleasantly Perfect (from 7-4), 4-1 Ghostzapper, 13-2 Birdstone, Roses In May, 10-1 Azeri, Funny Cide (from 11), 14-1 Perfect Drift, 16-1 Dynever, Personal Rush, 25-1 Freefourinternet, 28-1 Newfoundland, 33-1 Fantasticat, 40-1 Bowmans Band

LINGFIELD PARK AND ROYAL WINDSOR - PROUD TO BE STAGING ASCOT'S RELOCATED MEETINGS Arena Leisure is delighted to have gained the majority of the relocated National Hunt Fixtures from Ascot during their major redevelopment project. Ian Renton, Director of Racing for the Arena group said: “We are delighted to be able to stage these extra prestigious fixtures and it is extremely beneficial for both Royal Windsor and Lingfield Park. It is particularly exciting to be staging jump racing at Windsor again after a gap of five years, and to gain such high profile races as the Long Walk Hurdle at Christmas.” Lingfield Park is looking forward to staging the first of the relocated national hunt fixtures from Ascot on Saturday 30th October. There are seven races on the card with £68,500 in total prize money. The meeting is generously sponsored by Coloroll, overall sponsors of the jumps meetings at both courses during October and November. The first part of the meeting is to be covered by the BBC and a high standard of entries is expected.
