CORAL SUSPEND JOCKEYS' TITLE BETTING AFTER FRANKIE'S TREBLE
Coral has suspended betting on the Flat Jockeys' Championship following Frankie Dettori's treble at Leicester this afternoon that took him 13 winners clear of Kieren Fallon, who suffered a fall from his last ride at the same track.
“Frankie is in irresistable form right now and looks unstoppable in his quest for the title, and having initially gone 1-10 after his first two winners, we've decided to call it a day after the third winner,” explained Coral's David Stevens.

MOUTH-WATERING CHAMPIONS' DAY IN PROSPECT
Peter Bowen looks forward to running two in the totesport Cesarewitch; Going news
The addition of the Cornwallis Stakes to the £1m-plus Champions' Day, the highest class raceday in the British Flat racing calendar, at Newmarket on Saturday (October 16) means that an exceptional day's racing has now become a truly remarkable day with no less than seven Group races in addition to the totesport Cesarewitch, one of the season's great handicaps.
A total of 14 horses have been confirmed at the five-day stage for the feature £374,000 Group One Emirates Airline Champion Stakes, Newmarket's richest race of the year, led by AZAMOUR, winner of the 2004 Irish Champion Stakes and the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
They also include NAHEEF, who has today been supplemented by Godolphin at a cost of £24,000, and is likely to act as a pacemaker in the 10-furlong event for his two stable companions DOYEN, impressive winner of the 2004 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes, and REFUSE TO BEND, winner of the 2004 Queen Anne Stakes, the Coral-Eclipse Stakes and the 2003 UltimateBet.com 2000 Guineas.
HAAFHD, successful in the 2004 UltimateBet.com 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, the talented Mark Johnston-trained pair of LUCKY STORY and MISTER MONET, IMPERIAL DANCER, MINGUN, MUBTAKER, NORSE DANCER, SALSELON, CHORIST and ECOMIUM complete the potential field
The other Group One event on the fabulous eight-race card, the seven-furlong £265,000 Darley Dewhurst Stakes, could feature several champions of the future among the dozen five-day confirmations. ETLAALA and SHAMARDAL currently share joint-favouritism with totesport for the 2005 UltimateBet.com 2000 Guineas at Newmarket. Both are unbeaten after two starts, with the former winning the Group Two SGB Champagne Stakes at Doncaster last time, while Shamardal was successful in the Group Two Veuve Clicquot Vintage Stakes at Goodwood in July.
ORATORIO led in the final strides to win the Group One Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp earlier this month, with MONTGOMERY'S ARCH and DEMOCRATIC DEFICIT in fourth and fifth.
ICEMAN ran what his trainer described as a perfect trial for this race when third in the Group One Shadwell Stud Middle Park Stakes here over six furlongs on the first day of October, while Group Two Hackney Empire Royal Lodge Stakes hero PERFECTPERFORMANCE and LIBRETTIST, unbeaten in two outings, could represent Godolphin. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained HOME AFFAIRS, fifth to Librett on his debut, then won easily at Yarmouth and is on target for the Group One race.
TREMAR, a Group Three winner in France for Epsom trainer Terry Mills, has been supplemented today for the Darley Dewhurst at a cost of £15,000.
A maximum field of 36 looks likely for the £130,000 totesport Cesarewitch, with 46 standing their ground at today's five-day stage, including all of the horses currently priced at 14/1 or less with the sponsor - NO REFUGE (6/1 favourite), ESCAYOLA, ORPINGTON, TUNGSTEN STRIKE, MR ED (12/1)and TEMPSFORD.
Trainer Peter Bowen, responsible for Mr Ed and It's Definite, said this morning: "Mr Ed is in really good form and he's improved a lot this season. Being by In The Wings, he would keep improving, wouldn't he?
"I think It's Definite is very over-priced for the totesport Cesarewitch (33/1 with totesport) because last year he finished third just behind Landing Light (last year's Cesarewitch winner) in the Ascot Stakes at Royal Ascot, and then in this race he got very badly hampered when he was travelling really well so he should run a nice race on Saturday."
The Group Two Victor Chandler Challenge Stakes has 21 entries remaining at the five-day stage including Godolphin's FIREBREAK, PASTORAL PURSUITS, trained by Hughie Morrison, and Jeremy Noseda's BALMONT, who has reportedly been catching pigeons on Newmarket's plentiful gallops.
The Group Three Cornwallis Stakes, transferred from Salisbury's abandoned meeting last weekend, is the new first race at 1.05pm.
The going at Newmarket is currently good in the home straight and good-to-firm between the one and a half mile start and the totesport Cesarewitch start.
Michael Prosser, the clerk of the course, said this morning: "It's going to be dry today, though rain is forecast to move in tomorrow, light at first, but heavier on Wednesday. We are likely to get six to eight millimetres.
"After that we look to be set fair for the race meeting itself, though with the chance of the odd isolated shower on both Thursday and Friday evenings.
"As last year, we have narrowed the track by 10 metres on the far side where the stalls will be on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday they will be on the stands' side for all races of a mile and a quarter or less and I cannot tell you just how great the sense of anticipation is among everyone here as we build up to a truly sensational raceday on Saturday."
