TICKETS GO ON SALE FOR 2005 ROYAL MEETING

Public Enclosure tickets and hospitality packages for Royal Ascot at York (Tuesday 14th to Saturday 18th June 2005) go on sale direct from Ascot Racecourse from Monday 4th October.

A Royal Procession is planned for all five days with the first race at 2.30pm.

The Order of Running will be confirmed in due course but next year's Group One races are all confirmed for the same days as this year.

Ticket Prices for the public enclosures are as follows:

Grandstand Enclosure - £50 (plus parking from £5)
Yorkshire Course Enclosure - £18 (plus parking from £5)

Capacity of the main stands, including the Royal Enclosure for which applications will be taken from Tuesday 4th January, is 50,000, and all the car parking available for Royal Ascot at York will be sold with tickets to the three main enclosures.

In addition to the main enclosures, plans are underway to create an additional area, "The Rails Enclosure," which will be located next to the Yorkshire Course Enclosure, opposite the main stands.

The capacity for the Rails Enclosure is expected to be 10,000 and, mindful of the traffic circulation limitations of York, there will be no car parking available with the purchase of tickets for this area. When sales for this area commence, they will be restricted to residents in the immediate vicinity of York. Further details will follow early next year.

To book for the Grandstand Enclosure or Yorkshire Course Enclosure and to enquire about the range of hospitality on offer, please call 01344 876876 or visit www.ascot.co.uk from Monday.
